Instrumental tunes alternate with soulful vocal hooks and unisono steel pan and trumpet lines, embedded in groovin´ beats.

KANAWA, named after a small island in the Komodo sea in Indonesia is a project by German producer, keyboard and steel pan player Pit Schönpflug.
Together with trumpet player K.J. Dallaway from Trinidad and Tobago they release their first EP KANAWA.

Embedded in a straight dance beat with percussive loops, the first track “Phoenix” suprises with a mellow steel pan part in the middle and the trumpet playing of K.J.Dallaway. Watch the video below. “Everybody Likes The Sunshine”, “All I Wanna Do” and “Lift Me Up”, featuring rapper Elijah Salaah convince with relaxed, funky grooves. “Dubbie Pan” is an instrumental reggae song with Dub elements and “Pink Beach” finally is a chilled Electronica tune.
